A Mini-Intensive with Personal Constellations, Systemic Ritual and Constellations with Horses

“Magnificent in their unity, a herd of horses gallops across a pasture, an awe-inspiring vision of beauty as the collective moves as a unified force.  Their profound ability to feel themselves and all those around them keeps them from stumbling or bumping against each other.  This sophisticated instinct allows them to achieve much more than a single herd member. Unified as one organism, they thrive.”  (from The Oracle of the Sacred Horse, Kathy Pike and Laurie Prindle)

This summer, come join us as we explore the interplay of personal and collective healing and growth, starting with two days of personal constellations and systemic ritual with Meghan Kelly, and then two days of constellations with horses with Katherine Curran and Kathy Boisjoli.  We believe that this alchemical combination of individual and group work will help us experience not only personal healing, but what is possible as we grow together and feel the power of creating a unified collective.

In this mini-intensive we play with the personal/collective interface in numerous ways –

·      Through personal constellations, which often open onto a collective ancestral backdrop,

·      Through participation in systemic ritual, which very directly bridges personal constellations with the archetypal level, where we learn that what we thought were personal patterns are actually shared by many if not most of us and

·      Through constellations with horses where we ask our equine colleagues to help us experience the power of the collective as we continue our growth

·      And finally, through the community we form with each other during this powerful event.

We believe the horses add a crucial dimension to the work we are trying to do. The ‘sophisticated instinct’ mentioned in the quote above can also be known as the field of the horse.  As prey animals, they have developed a finely tune ability to perceive the energy of the herd, of possible predators, and indeed of anyone who ventures close to them.  They deeply resonate with and amplify authenticity, and at the same time can uncannily display the entangled dynamics of a system.  This makes them magnificent partners in constellations where they can sense the underlying forces at work in a system with greater depth and ease than any of us ‘hampered’ by having egos. Having opened ourselves to the intertwining of personal/collective work in the first two days, they can help lead us to systemic resolution often beyond what our limited consciousness might otherwise allow.
