How do we organize in a period of disorder and evolution?
Coming out of the COVID pandemic, things seem not to be going back to ‘normal,’ much as some of us would like them to. Institutions trusted by many seem no longer able to sustain or be a container for whatever their mission was. Violence erupts, polarization occurs, problems seem bigger than organizations’ or institutions’ ability to hold them. Disorder seems more prevalent in many quarters.
Is there a blessing in this? Is this a time of breakdown or breakthrough?
Jan Jacob Stam is an internationally known leader in the field of organizational and social constellations. For a long time he has acknowledged that the spirit of evolution guides the biggest movements in our societies and organizations. Is the spirit of evolution at work in what we experience around us now? If so, how can we use this energy as we continue to face these challenges? How do we help our organizations be more sustainable, more flexible, more able to cope with the unknown, more inclusive, more functional, as we address what we see in our world? How do we create organizations that embrace what life wants from us, rather than telling life what we want it to be (domination)? And, how can we employ constellations to help us see complex societal dynamics more clearly and begin to shift them?

Jan Jacob Stam Biography:
Born in 1954. Biologist; schoolteacher; manager Dutch Telecom; consultant; founded the Dutch Bert Hellinger Institute in 2000, and continued under his own name in 2020 (janjacobstam). He is also the co-founder of TeamConnect.
In his work he focuses on the potential of personal- organizational- and societal development, from the systemic perspective.
